Using the Find Transactions window

The Find Transactions window allows you to search for transactions in Sage 50. You can enter as many search criteria as you want, using the information you have on hand. Note that this window also allows you to drill down to view individual transactions in detail.

To open this window, go to the Edit menu and select Find Transactions. Alternatively, press <F3> or <CTRL> + <F> from your keyboard.

The following screenshot and reference table show step-by-step instructions on how to find a transaction using the Find Transactions window. Note that each step is assigned a reference number to help you identify the appropriate field or icon in the Find Transactions window.

1 Date field Click the down arrow icon to indicate whether you want to search for a transaction that was recorded today, in the current period or within a particular date range.
2 From and To fields Specify the starting and ending dates for the search (if required).
3 Filter fields Enter search criteria to locate the transaction you want.
4 Find icon Click the Find icon to display a list of transactions that matches your search criteria.
5 Detail icon When the search results appear, either double click the desired transaction or click it once to highlight it and then click the Detail icon to view that particular transaction in detail.
