Personal information collected and how it is used

provide, our services to our customers.

address, telephone number, email address, educational institution, student number,
course details, and information regarding optional preferences. In some cases your
educational institution may provide us with some of your personal information. During
the process of using our website, you may also create additional personal information
such as the frequency and times of use, communications you had with instructors and
other students, and your scores and grades from various exercises.
This personal information will be kept confidential and will be used only to support our
customer relationship with you including the provision of products, services and support to
you and, where applicable, your educational institution. If, and only if, your
personal information has been collected by us to support your studies at a particular
educational institution, we may disclose and reconcile your personal information with
that particular educational institution.
The personal information that you provide to us as a direct result of registering an account
to use our website will not otherwise be sold, released or disclosed to third
parties without your prior consent or unless required by law.
You have no obligation to provide any personal information requested by us. However, if
you choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to provide you, or
where applicable your educational institution, with the products and services that depend
on the collection of that information.
Storage and transmission of personal information
We take measures to ensure your personal information is stored in a secure manner and
is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration. We do
not store credit card numbers. We destroy your personal information once that
information is no longer needed and your use of our website has been inactive for an
extended period.
Please be aware that, other than on our ecommerce site, we do not provide facilities
for the secure transmission of information across the internet. You should know that
there are inherent risks when transmitting information across the internet. While we
strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any
information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
Access to and correction of personal information
We provide you with online tools to directly access and correct the personal information

If we hold personal information about you but do not provide you with such online tools,
you can request access to, and correction of, your personal information by emailing your
request to support@perdisco.com.au or by contacting our Privacy Officer (see below for
contact details). We will not charge a fee for lodging a request to access or correct
your personal information. However, we may charge a fee to recover our costs of making
that information available to you or correcting it.
Internet commerce
We are committed to the security of data underlying ecommerce transactions. Our
ecommerce site uses SSL Secure Server 128-bit encryption. Encryption is the process of
converting data into a secret code for transmitting over the internet.
Your credit card number is not read or stored by us although it may be stored by
the ecommerce gateway providers and banks that we use.
If at any time you would like to make a purchase, but do not
want to use your credit card online, we provide other alternatives that are
discussed on our ecommerce site.
Technical information collected and how it is used
In addition to personal information, when you visit our website or use our e-learning
resources, we automatically make a record of your visit and log technical information
that is anonymous and that cannot be used to personally identify you including:
- your IP address and domain name
- the date and time of your visit
- the pages you accessed and documents downloaded
- the previous site you visited
- the type of browser you are using.
This information is not personal information, and is used by us to monitor and secure
our network, and for collective statistical analysis to help us improve our products
and services. This analysis is done using the Google analytics service which involves
cookies and the transmission of particular technical information to Google
(Section 8 of Google's terms of use

technical information does not identify individual users nor is it sold,
released or otherwise disclosed to any other third parties, unless required by
law, or required to investigate any hacking, system intrusion, malicious action,
